Bricktown, OKC

Here is why Josh and I love to go to OKC. It's all about Bricktown!

You can take a water taxi through the entire canal.

If you're a big fan of birds than this is the place to go in the city. Lots of birds!

Josh taking pictures. Love these pictures of him!

I wish we had a Bricktown here in Arkansas just for the bridges. Perfect spots for portraits!

Remember the other buffalo?

I'm taking a picture of Josh while he takes one of me. Yes, we really are that cheesy! LOL!

Possibly the coolest thing in Bricktown. Besides all of the good restaurants.

I could have spent all day just photographing and admiring these beautiful works of art!

This is my favorite one. I love the movement and emotion that is portrayed.

The attention to detail is amazing. A dog yipping at the wheels of the wagon. A rabbit scrambling to get out of the way.

And just to give an idea of how large these were I'm 5'9" and Josh is 6'1".

OKC Zoo Outtakes

As promised. Here are the outtakes from the zoo. Be warned, you will laugh! LOL!

1) Wanted Felon. This squirrel might be cute but don't be fooled for he is a master thief. Most recent victim, the badger, now goes hungry.
2) I thought Dayquil was supposed to be non-drowsy.
3) Oh, yeah? Well, how about this!

How can you not laugh at these?

AFLAC!

And last, but not least, I present to you the crazy ostrich. In the first two you can see where he is going in for the kill. His victim? My husband. Third picture, he looks all innocent, like he wants to shake your hand. Just saying hello. But watch out! Look at that bite! Crikey!!!

Look for Bricktown pictures coming soon!

Hampton Family Pictures

This family was really fun! I met up with them at the Lock and Dam Park in Barling. I think it's actually called something else, but that's how I know it. LOL! It was a beautiful day for pictures with the pretty fall colors in the background.

This is my favorite picture of the bunch. The sister and brother are both in band and he plays football, too.

If I remember right she plays the baritone horn or trumpet or something like that. That shows how un-musically inclined I am. LOL!

And he plays the French Horn. I thought that the French Horn was the only horn.

I love how fun the jumping pictures are. My first attempt at capturing this type of shot and I think they turned out very well.

And I have to end with this last one because it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. I told you this family was fun!

OKC Zoo

I love zoos, my husband for the most part does not. But, I think he really enjoyed himself this time. There was this crazy ostrich trying to attack him, but that picture will be saved for later. We ended up getting some pretty funny pictures that I will post later as outtakes. For now, please enjoy the more posed and collected pictures.

It was Halloween when we went to the Zoo and they had a ton of pumpkins set out. They gave some of the animals pumpkins and the wart hog really loved his. He would not leave it's side, he kept rolling it around like it was his toy. It was super cute!

My favorite picture from the whole day is the middle one of the baby giraffe and it's mom. First, I love giraffes, they're my favorite zoo animal right next to elephants. And there was a complete giraffe family. The really dark one to the left side is the father.

Look for the Zoo Outtakes coming soon. And don't forget to click on the pictures to see them bigger.

OKC and the OKC Memorial

My husband and I just celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary on October 31st. That's right, we got married on Halloween. It's our favorite holiday. We spent our anniversary with some friends of ours in Oklahoma City. And, of course, I got tons of pictures!

I love old cars, so I had to get a picture of this. Plus, this guy's billboard was all over the place.

Jessica striking a pose for me. LOL!

These buffalo sculptures were all over the place. Don't worry. You'll be seeing some more.

This picture collage above is of the Memorial. The first one is of the Reflection Pool. The second one is of the many chairs that represent the lives that were lost that day. The big chairs represented the adults and the small chairs represented the children. The chain link fence had tokens/memories from family members or personal friends from the victims.

I was too young to remember this tragic event when it happened. But, I recommend that everyone go and see the memorial to remember the victims on that day.

There will be more pictures coming of the OKC Zoo and Bricktown, my favorite place in OKC.

Don't forget that you can click on the pictures to view them larger!

About This Blog

This blog is used to showcase my journey as a photographer. Photography is somewhat new to me in the sense that it is a field that is always evolving. I love learning all the new tricks to photography. But, I also love seeing something new through the lens of a camera.

My main photographical interest is people. I especially enjoy the lifestyle look. To me it's a more natural look and it captures who that person(s) truly is.
